OBJECTIVES

A restructuring of the ECSO budget to provide better pay and benefits for Correctional Officers and Deputies. 

A more professional agency with more adherence to policy.  Beginning at the top-down.  Every policy first applies to the Sheriff. 

Better clarity with the public and the press.  Public records will always be available in accordance with Florida Public Records Law. 

Improved internal morale.  Deputies will be encouraged to suggest ideas to help improve the Sheriff’s Office (anonymously with non-attribution).  We’ll work as a team to move forward together. 

Clear avenues of fair arbitration within the department involving disciplinary matters in compliance with the Law Enforcement Officers "Bill Of Rights." 

Restoration of public trust in law enforcement and the jail through leadership by personal example.  Outside assistance (as needed) will be recruited to set up a model correctional facility.  We will not have unexplained deaths in our correctional facilities.
